Castle Glass & Locks is a family-owned hardware business in the Greater Toronto Area operated by various generations since 1971. The current owners Reuben & Laura, (having a combined 50 years of experience), abbreviated the name to Castle GLD, to incorporate the lock & door departments. Our team has expertise in glass, lock & door services for high-rise residential, low-rise commercial properties, their managers, and residents. We always strive to ensure all our work and installations are completed in a manner that exceeds our clients’ expectations.

Where It All Started

Reuben, the current owner, started working in his father’s hardware store when he was a high school student and started learning about glazing and locksmithing techniques from his older cousins. What began as a part-time job became his lifetime passion, and he quickly became an expert in product knowledge, fire codes, and accessibility requirements in the Property Management Industry.


Laura joined Reuben in the year 2001, and they have been managing the business together for more than 20 years. With hands-on experience in accounting and business management, she began working as the head of office administration and customer relations. With her expertise and skills, she gained the trust of owners, high-level property managers, and senior resident managers across the GTA.


When the duo acquired Castle Glass & Locks, they expanded their client base to the West End. Currently located in Mississauga, Castle GLD provides services to residential and commercial properties all across the GTA, ranging East / West from Oshawa to Hamilton and North / South from Barrie to downtown Toronto.


Whenever we work, our sole objective is to offer reliable and affordable services to help you overcome the hurdles of meeting new codes and resolving the constant change in accessibility requirements for multi-tenant residential properties. The expert technicians at Castle GLD are ready to take on any issue involving window repairs, new glass, lock and  door replacements. Our locksmiths have professional trade skills in door and frame installations, high-security hardware, and standard lock cylinders. On the other hand, our glazing team comprises qualified personnel who are insured and trained to take security measures wherever possible to ensure our client’s safety.


With the help of our new fleet of vehicles equipped with a vast collection of tools, we try to resolve every issue related to glass and hardware.

Laura Harkin Moses - Partner, Treasurer / Secretary

Laura is our in-house bookkeeper who oversees issues related to accounting, including payroll, accounts payable, staffing, and HR. She is the one who keeps the company compliances and safety standards updated and makes sure that they are posted on the vendor portals and the Avetta website. Laura is responsible for updating WSIB, Covid-19 safety plans, AODA, WHMIS, Occupational Health & Safety, and more. She also takes care of new & existing client relations, meeting their expectations, and managing all social media platforms.
